Chennai Super Kings vs Punjab Kings Preview

CSK can only play for pride at this point after a terrible campaign that has left them at the bottom of the points table. They now have just two wins out of nine matches, with four losses in their last five games.

Punjab Kings are knocking on the door of the top four with five wins in nine matches and one rained out match against KKR.

CSK could only manage 154 all out in their previous game against SRH. There were positive signs with Dewald Brevis scoring 42 off 25 balls and Ayush Mhatre continuing his strong form with 30 off 19 balls.

“We have been able to be consistent for so long and it doesn't take much for it to go another way. Other teams have got better and that is the point of the auction. But we just haven't been able to get it right,” coach Stephen Fleming said.

The focus will be on the bowlers to stand up against CSK in conditions that could be low and slow again.
