CSK and SRH, two of the worst teams this season, will face each other on Friday from the M Chidambaram Stadium.

CSK are presently at the bottom of the points table with two wins from eight matches. Sunrisers have the same record but are ninth on account of a better net run-rate.

The loser of this game will assume the position of the bottom-placed team, and pretty much nowhere to go with the second half of the IPL season in full flow.

SRH slumped to 15 for 4 in the Powerplay against Mumbai on Wednesday, and were comfortably beaten by seven wickets in their previous match as their woes worsened.

"There's been a lot of teams that find themselves in this situation, and there's been a few teams that were able to resurrect their seasons,” Vettori said. "You look back to RCB last year after a difficult start. So if we can take inspiration from a team like them, and Mumbai's done it on a few occasions.”
