Durdanto Dhaka vs Khulna Titans Tips & Preview - Khulna backed in BPL

Both teams have had a campaign to forget but with a smaller table (this BPL season comprises seven teams), the margin of error is thin for the teams in the top half. 

Dhaka have suffered an appalling season, with just one win in 10 games, which has left them languishing at the bottom, with not much to play for apart from pride. 

However, there are plenty of promising signs for the team, including Shoriful Islam, who is the league’s leading wicket-taker this season with 18 wickets at an average of 17.50. 

On the batting front, the team has been led by Mohammad Naim, who has scored 276 runs at an average of 27.60. 

Alex Ross has been a powerful batting option in the middle order, with 272 runs this season at an average of 38.85 at a stunning strike rate of close to 150. He has also scored three fifties. 

Khulna Titans have enjoyed a better season, with four wins in nine games. With a crowded mid-table, Khulna could move to third if they beat Dhaka on Friday. 

As the business stage of the tournament progresses, a game against a team struggling for any form of form, fluency and confidence will be an opportunity for Khulna to make a final push for the playoffs. 

Anamul Haque has led the scoring for Khulna with 251 runs in nine matches at an average of 41.83 and a strike rate of 118.95 with three fifties. 

Evin Lewis has helped him admirably with 197 runs in eight matches. While his average of 28.14 is steady, he has scored his runs at a strike rate of 162.8, with 16 sixes, an indicator of his impact in the batting powerplay. 

Khulna will start this game as favorites considering they have simply had a better season to date. For Dhaka, there isn’t much to play for, which means there could be plenty of changes to their lineup as well as batting order. 

Khulna, on the other hand, will be keen to start quickly and get ahead of the game considering the pitches will start to get slower and lower as the tournament progresses. 

Khulna have several all-round players, who have had an impact in various stages of a T20 innings, which may prove to be too much for this Dhaka team, bereft of any momentum this season. And so, we think Khulna Tigers will be a strong betting choice for this game.
