Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants will play the first weekday double-header of the season on Tuesday. Both teams bring some confidence and momentum having won their previous games.

In their previous game, KKR came storming back after a slow start to score 200 against Sunrisers Hyderabad and then bowled them out for 120 to register their second win of the season.

Lucknow had a similar match at home, scoring 203 for 8 and defending that score by 12 runs in a thrilling contest that went to the final few deliveries of the match.

KKR will be pleased with the return to form for Venkatesh Iyer, who scored 60 off 29 in the previous match with seven fours and three sixes. Rinku Singh hit 32 off 17 while Angkrish Raghuvanshi struck a composed 50.

"Overall, I am really happy with the batting unit. The last two games were not up to the mark for us. But again, we learned a lot from our mistakes and it's again staying in the moment. This game has happened but this is a great example for us as a batting unit to learn from this game and take it forward,” captain Ajinkya Rahane said.

LSG have been reliant on their top order, and they haven’t disappointed. Mitchell Marsh hit another fifty in the previous game by scoring 60 off 31 balls while Aiden Markram hit 53 off just 38 balls.

Mayank Yadav is close to returning but he isn’t quite ready yet.

"He's up, he's keen to get going. He bowled really well in Bangalore yesterday at the NCA. I think you have another couple of bowls and hopefully...
