Punjab Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders Preview

Punjab Kings were looking set for another win to keep them in the top half of the table until Sunrisers Hyderabad caught fire as they chased down 246 with nine balls to spare in their previous match.

KKR, on the other hand, cruised past a hapless CSK team in their previous match. They restricted CSK to 103 for 9 on a slow pitch and then chased that target down in just 10.1 overs.

Both teams are looking for a bit of momentum to carry them out of this mid-table muddle that several teams are currently a part of.

KKR found a way to use their spinners on a slow surface to keep CSK quiet. In Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine, KKR have the resources to be able to keep strong batting teams, like Punjab Kings, quiet for long periods of the game.

"The big thing that the value that they bring is the amount of variations they bring. Obviously, both of them are mystery spinners," Quinton de Kock said. "So, it's always mixing it up. I think it's hard to line up certain spin bowlers like that because you never know what you're going to get,” de Kock said.
