Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will open their IPL 2025 season with a fiery contest from Hyderabad. Sunrisers have a lot to prove after finishing as runners-up in IPL 2023 while Rajasthan also have a lot of work to do after losing their core squad.

Sunrisers will make their base in Hyderabad home for seven matches, where they have dominated teams last year. With an improved batting line-up, you could expect Sunrisers to make a deep run into the playoffs again.

Sunrisers were terrific in IPL 2024, going all the way to the final before losing out to a quality KKR team. Rajasthan have also brought in some firepower in Nitish Rana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Sandeep Sharma and Maheesh Theekshana. Their batting, however, will revolve around their Indian batters along with Shimron Hetmyer in the middle order.
