Real Sociedad vs PSG Preview & Betting Tips - PSG Set To Seal Sociedad's Champions League Fate

The French club will visit Spain with a 2-0 advantage they secured at home almost three weeks ago.

In Paris, it was a game of two halves. PSG were mediocre at best in the first 45. A revitalizing pep talk from Luis Enrique changed the complexion of the game. It helped Kylian Mbappe and Bradley Barcola get on the scoresheet to establish a two-goal cushion before the second leg on enemy territory.

PSG and Enrique will be hungry for a win when they visit Reale Arena.

In the domestic league, the French club is unbeaten on the road after winning eight and drawing four of their 12 away games so far. 

However, contrasting statistics are on the board in the Champions League. In the group stage, PSG drew one and lost two of their three away games, leaving the club without an away in the competition this season.

Real Sociedad have won one and drawn two at home in the Champions group stage, and in La Liga, they have lost just three of their 13 home games. 

Still, PSG have enough firepower to break the Spanish team down. Even if the hosts show resilience, they might secure a draw that will confirm PSG’s passage to the quarterfinals.

Ander Barrenetxea is out with a muscle injury for the hosts and will not be available for selection against PSG. The winger has scored three goals and assisted one in 20 appearances this season. However, Mikel Oyarzabal and Takefusa Kubo are expected to start down the flank for Real Sociedad.

The hosts will have to face a barrage of attacks from the front three of the visitors – Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembele, and Kylian Mbappe. Keeping these forwards at bay for 90 minutes will be very difficult. The best Sociedad can get in this encounter is a draw.
