Bangladesh vs Malaysia Asian Games Preview & Tips - Bangladesh to take Asian Games semi-final berth

Malaysia eased past Hong Kong in their last game as they secured a morale-boosting eight-wicket win. 

Their five wins have come over Ireland twice, New Zealand and Zimbabwe twice, while they have been beaten by New Zealand, Australia three times and Zimbabwe. The quality of opponent they have taken on has generally been high, with winnable matches against Ireland and Zimbabwe coming along with matches against world class opponents in New Zealand and Australia. 

Against Malaysia, Bangladesh will really fancy themselves. Three wins have come across their last five in all formats and it would be a major shock to see this Bangladesh side knocked out at the quarter-final stage. 

In their previous game, they had garnered some real momentum as they easily beat Hong Kong. In inspired form with the ball, Malaysia restricted Hong Kong to 81/9 in their 20 overs. In reply, Malaysia cantered to their target with eight wickets and 48 deliveries to spare. 

Despite impressing in their final group game, Malaysia know they are really up against it in this one. Bangladesh have firmly established themselves as a side that can beat most opponents, and I predict that this will be too much for Malaysia.
