India vs Zimbabwe Women 3rd T20 Preview & Tips

India Women are on course for the 3-0 series win over Zimbabwe that they would have targeted as a must prior to the start of the series.

Zimbabwe Women have been enduring a torrid time in the T20 game, with the side slumping to a pair of defeats at the hands of one of the best sides in the women's game.

India have won their two previous T20's against Zimbabwe.

India Women were excellent in the second T20 as they stormed into a 2-0 series lead over the touring side.

While the disparity between the pair is massive, India will have wanted to use this as a chance to really hone their tactics with bat and ball, and that is exactly what they have done. In the second T20, India restricted their opponents to 102/8 in 20 overs as the touring side were given little to work with.

When batting, India cruised to their target of 103 with nine wickets and 67 deliveries to spare. Shafali Verma top scored with 55 while Smriti Mandhana was still there at the end following her score of 47 from 25. Ultimately, if India's bowling unit does not get you, their batting line-up will.

I am backing Mandhana to add to her score as she puts Zimbabwe's bowlers to the sword once again.

Zimbabwe Women Form

Zimbabwe Women knew they came into their series with India as massive underdogs, with the difference between an improving touring side and one of the best teams in the women's game enormous.

The second T20 saw Zimbabwe bat-out their full 20 over allocation, but they could not put a score on the board that would seriously trouble India. Indeed, seven single-figure scores from the nine batters that took to the crease was a major issue.

With the ball, Zimbabwe could not make the in-roads they needed as a single Indian wicket fell. Ultimately, a lack of wickets saw them fail to take control of this clash, with no Zimbabwe bowler able to return an economy rate of below 9.00.

Zimbabwe have one final chance to take an unlikely win from India, but this is incredibly unlikely. Zimbabwe's batting and bowling unit has improved over the last few years, but they, like many of the other sides that take on India, are completely outmatched.
