Zimbabwe vs West Indies Women 3rd T20 Preview & Tips

Zimbabwe Women have had no answer for the Windies on the latter’s tour, with the side slumping to defeats by eight wickets in both matches.

The West Indies have avoided any embarrassing results on their T20 tour of Zimbabwe, with the touring side hot favourites to scoop the series 3-0.

The pair have only met twice before in the T20 game, with the Windies winning by eight wickets in both games.

Zimbabwe Women are still waiting for their first T20 win since September 2025, with the nation slumping to 19 consecutive defeats since then.

Zimbabwe will be fully aware that experience in the T20 game will help them to continue to improve. However, seeing their 19-game losing run extended further will only harm morale that is already at an all-time low.

The second T20 saw Zimbabwe breach the 100-run mark, but their total of 106/7 was easily chased down by the tourists as the Windies cruised to an eight-wicket win with 65 deliveries to spare.

Both matches have seen Zimbabwe take just two wickets, while they have barely made it past the 200-run mark across both matches after scoring 97 and 106. Zimbabwe simply have to take wickets and put a decent score on the board if they are to challenge the touring side.

However, with 19 consecutive T20 defeats heading into this one, there are no prizes for guessing which is the side to back.

West Indies Women Form

West Indies Women have side-stepped a potentially awkward series against unfancied Zimbabwe in style, winning their opening two by eight wickets.

The first T20 saw the Windies restrict their hosts to 97/9 before they got home with 43 balls to spare. The second may have seen Zimbabwe outscore themselves as they posted 106/7, but the Windies cruised to their target in even quicker time, this time finishing with 65 balls to spare.

In truth, the mismatch between the two sides has likely been even bigger than most thought it would be. The Windies have impressed with professional batting and bowling displays that have proved too much for their hosts.

Jahzara Claxton has proved a constant thorn in Zimbabwe’s side, and I back her to build on her five wickets across the two games with more wickets in the third T20.
