Bangladesh vs Australia 1st ODI Preview & Tips - Can Bangladesh stun Australia in their first ODI clash?

Australia were stunned by Pakistan in their last ODI series as they slumped to a 2-1 loss at the hands of their hosts. 

With the ball, Mustafizur Rahman starred with 5/43, while Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 105 from 119. Both players are part of the Bangladesh squad for this series and will likely be key components in their hopes of securing an unlikely series win. 

The form book suggests that this one will be won by Australia as they aim for a sixth consecutive win over their opponents in the ODI game. However, the Aussies have lost three of their last four in the 50 over format, while Bangladesh have won their last two. 

This will more than likely be a very tight game that could go either way, but if Bangladesh can get at Australia's batting unit then they likely give themselves a real chance at victory. 

Across the series against Pakistan, the bat struggled to outdo the ball. The pair could not score more than 240 runs in any of their six innings, while scores of below were 200 posted in three of the six innings. 

A string of experienced players return to the squad, with Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head leading the charge, but can they turn the woes of the national team around? If Marsh and Head can start well then Australia can go big, but is there a big hitting presence further down the order? The Aussies struggled to put Pakistan under real pressure with the bat, and I predict this will hurt them once again as they slump to a shock loss at the hands of their hosts.
