Singapore vs Bangladesh Preview & Tips - Bangladesh to slump to another ASEAN Cup defeat

While the odds suggested that Singapore were unlikely to win their opener, their inability to make a dent on Indonesia's goal was a real frustration. Defeat means they join Bangladesh at the bottom of Group A, spared the foot of the ladder by their slightly superior goal difference. 

Fortunate for Singapore is the fact they have never lost to their opponents. Four games have come and gone with Singapore winning by one goal each time. With a win vital, I back the home side to defeat their opponents with the most slender of margins. 

Trailing 2-0 at half-time, Bangladesh were not out of the game and would have been hoping to rally at the break. However, they conceded seven minutes after the restart and did not threaten a comeback in a performance that failed to inspire. 

Matches against Singapore and Indonesia next will see Bangladesh really tested, and I predict that they will struggle in this one. They have never beaten Singapore, and the odds reflect this. It is worth noting that Bangladesh have lost to Singapore by a single goal in all four of their previous meetings, and I predict that this trend will continue as the travelling side look to stay compact defensively after conceding three in their opener.
