UEFA Nations League Best Bets - September 28

Germany were denied a win in their opener against the Netherlands as they conceded in the 92nd minute in a 1-1 draw. While avoiding defeat on the road in the top division of the Nations League is something that should be seen as a positive, the manner of this stalemate is hugely frustrating. Matches against Greece and Serbia will be seen entirely winnable both at home and away, and the Germans need to take all three points from this one. A run of three without a win is an issue, but Germany have won their last four against their opponents, and I back them to win this match despite failing to keep a clean sheet. 

Norway saw a two-goal lead count for little in their opening match against Denmark as they were pegged back at 2-2 after an hour. However, with Erling Haaland in the side, anything is possible. After putting Norway 2-0 up, Haaland hit the back of the net in the 74th minute to take all three points for his side in a 3-2 win. In what is a competitive group, beating Norway in their opener was crucial. Haaland has now scored in his last five matches for club and country and he will be keen to stamp his authority on the group with another goal, which is what I back him to do.
