UEFA Nations League Best Bets - October 3

Belgium are in need of a big performance in their third Nations League outing after they were consigned to a frustrating 1-0 loss against France. While defeat at the hands of one of the best sides in the world is far from embarrassing, Belgium know this was a chance to make it successive wins pass them by. Now, they return to take on an opponent they should beat. Belgium have seen less than 3.5 goals scored in their last two matches, while this has been the case in three of their last four against Türkiye. With home advantage, I back Belgium to edge past the visiting side. 

France are yet to really make the most out of their huge range of attacking talent at the Nations League in 2026, with just two goals scored across their opening two matches. A pair of 1-0 wins over Türkiye and Belgium have sent the French to the top of Group 1, but they cannot afford to allow their winning run to slip. Michael Olise scored the winner for France against Belgium in their last outing and I back him to be key once again. The forward is able to blend pace, tricky feet and an ability to find the back of the net, shown via his hat-trick in his last club appearance for Bayern Munich against Union Berlin. With France currently edging to wins, I am backing Olise to be the match-winner.
