UEFA Nations League Best Bets - October 7

Croatia were embarrassed by England in their last outing as they crashed to a 7-0 home loss. Following on from a 4-1 defeat to Spain, Croatia needed something from their third game, but all they took from it was a real hiding. Currently sat in third in the group with three points, Croatia are three short of England in second and now have to take on the best side in the group. With an away game against England to come, Croatia need something from this match. While I do not predict another massive defeat, I do not see Croatia winning this one. They will look to be more defensively sound as they try to ensure they are not hammered, and this will more than likely curtail any intent going forward.

England were outstanding against Croatia in their third Nations League outing as their high press led to the latter crumbling to a 7-0 loss. After bouncing back from a 3-2 loss to Spain with a 2-0 win over Czechia, their 7-0 triumph was further proof of their continued development as a team. Anthony Gordon continues to impress after netting for the third successive time for England across this international break. England will feel that they should win this one comfortably, and I back Gordon to get them moving with a goal.
