World Cup Best Bets - June 30 - Round of 32

Paraguay came through one of the weaker World Cup groups as one of the top third placed teams. Their defeat to the USA (4-1), win over Türkiye (1-0) and draw with Australia (0-0) was enough to get them out of the group, but it has not seen them shine. Positively for Paraguay is the fact they have kept two clean sheets across their last two, avoiding defeat in both. I predict that they will give Germany a good game, but I do not see them winning this one. 

Morocco edged through their World Cup group without being beaten in an impressive run of performances. Their 1-1 draw with Brazil was quickly followed by a 1-0 win over Scotland and a 4-2 triumph against Haiti. Their seven point tally matches that of the Netherlands, who also look strong. While I predict that Morocco can give as good as they get in this one, I do not back them to secure a win over a Dutch side that are growing in confidence. 

Norway beat Iraq 4-1 and Senegal 3-2 in their opening two matches of the tournament to ensure they would be going through as one of the top two sides. In a surprising decision, Norway's management decided to massively rotate their squad, with this eventually seeing them lose 4-1 to France. While they have lost their last match, I am not looking into this defeat all that much. After all, when you are missing the quality Norway have, a side is always likely to struggle. Erling Haaland has scored a brace in each of his last two World Cup outings, and I back him to return to the side with another goal.
