2026 Pakistan Super League Format & Schedule

2026's iteration of the Pakistan Super League will see the fun of one of the biggest Twenty20 competitions extended as the tournament expands from six teams to eight.

Whether you are looking for top batting prospects in Babar Azam, Steve Smith or Glenn Maxwell, or you are hoping to see the wickets knocked over by Shaheen Shah Afridi or Haris Rauf, the PSL will bring the excitement in the bucket-load, with some of the very best players in the men's game set to battle for the trophy.

2026 PSL Format

The PSL has been expanded to eight teams which has seen the format of the competition change. This season, a total of 44 matches will be played, with the competition seeing each side play the other seven sides twice.

The group stage is quickly followed by the playoffs. The Qualifier will see first take on second for a direct place in the final. The first Eliminator sees third take on fourth, with the winner moving into the second Eliminator to play the loser of the Qualifier.

The winner of the second Eliminator then moves into the grand final, with silverware up for grabs in the showpiece event.
