Quetta Gladiators vs Karachi Kings Preview & Tips

The Quetta Gladiators arrive for the new Pakistan Super League season on the back of a stunning six-wicket loss to the Quetta Gladiators in the final last year.

The Karachi Kings managed to finish third in the PSL in 2025, but they were beaten by the eventual champions in the Eliminator.

The Gladiators have won six of their last 10 against the Kings, with the latter winning the other four.

Quetta Gladiators Form

The Quetta Gladiators were the best side across the 2025 PSL, winning seven of their 10 matches and topping the standings with 15 points.

The Qualifier saw the Gladiators storm to a 30-run win over Islamabad United, with this seeing them move straight into the grand final. Facing the Lahore Qalandars in the final, they posted an impressive 201/9 in their 20 overs. However, they were left stunned as the Qalandars hammered their way to a six-wicket win with one delivery to spare.

Their inability to close out the final will still frustrate them to this day, and they will target a big win in their opener. I back them to secure this win as they begin to make up for their defeat in last season's final.

Karachi Kings Form

The Karachi Kings may have finished in third in the PSL in 2025, but they were unable to make the most out of their place in the off-season as they were knocked out in Eliminator 1 by the Lahore Qalandars.

Their score of 190/8 in 20 overs should have been more than enough to put the Qalandars under pressure. However, they cantered to their target with six wickets and eight deliveries left to come. In truth, the Qalandars easily beat the Kings in a match that should have been closer.

This season, the Kings will aim to take the final few steps that will see them build on their run to the playoffs by winning the final. However, taking on last season’s best regular season team on the road will be tough and I predict a defeat for the Kings in their opener.
