England vs India 4th T20 Preview & Tips

England blew India away in their third T20 as they humiliated their opponents in a 125-run win that has put them 2-0 up in their series.

India were nowhere near good enough in the third T20 as their bowlers struggled to contain England's batters before their own batting unit flopped.

England have won four of their last 10 T20's against India with the latter winning the other six.

England Form

England rallied well from a fairly slow start with the bat as they hammered their way to 201/7. Phil Salt's 70 from 44 saw the opener rediscover form while Sam Curran's quickfire 41 not out from 24 saw England beyond the 200-run mark.

While they looked good with the bat, England excelled with the ball. No India batter could score more than 13 runs, with the tourists going from 23 without loss to 76 all out. Jofra Archer (3/29) and Josh Tongue (4/28) tore through India with the ball in a stunning display of fast bowling.

India are yet to win a single T20 on their tour of Ireland and England. They lost 2-0 to Ireland in their series while they are 2-0 down to England after three T20's following their first clash getting rained off. England will scent blood in this one, and I back them to storm into a 3-0 lead with victory in this one.

India Form

India would have felt that they were very much in the game after removing Jos Buttler and Harry Brook to see the score at 71/2 after 8.2 overs. However, their failure to get rid of Phil Salt early cost them as he hammered his way to 70 from 44.

With the bat, India were abysmal. A flurry of sixes early in the innings did not paper over the cracks of a lune-up that was skittled for 76 in 11.4 overs. While each of their top five batters returned strike rates of 125.00 or more, none could actually provide a score of note.

Currently staring at an aggregate score of 4-0 after five games across their tour of Ireland and England, India are in need of a real boost. However, they have been off the pace so far and while they will likely be better in this one, I do not see them keeping the series alive.

I am backing Jofra Archer to impress with the ball as England storm into a 3-0 series lead.
