India vs Bangladesh Women T20 Preview & Tips

India Women are yet to taste defeat at the 2026 Women's Asia Cup after cruising to a trio of wins in their group.

Bangladesh Women eased past the UAE in their last outing as they secured a crucial 34-run win over their opponents.

India have won nine of their last 10 T20's against Bangladesh, with the latter winning once back in 2023.

India Women Form

India Women have not ever needed to get out of second gear at the 2026 Asia Cup after easily beating each of Thailand, Hong Kong and Pakistan.

Admittedly, their 94-run win over Thailand and their 137-run win over Hong Kong should be taken with a pinch of salt as they hammered Associate teams. However, they were able to easily beat arch-rivals Pakistan in a seven-wicket win in their last outing to underline just how much better than the competition they are.

Smriti Mandhana has been central to India's batting performances so far, scoring 152 runs at 50.67 in three innings. As the top scorer at the tournament, I back Mandhana to continue to hammer the ball to the boundary as she leads her side to the Asia Cup final.

Bangladesh Women Form

Bangladesh Women were able to secure their place in the Asia Cup semi-finals as they won their straight shootout against the UAE.

The match itself was actually very entertaining as the momentum shifted one way and then the other. After being restricted to an underwhelming 103/7, Bangladesh then held the UAE to 69/9. Clearly, scoring runs quickly was not the order of the day for either nation as 16 wickets fell in 40 overs for just 172 runs.

Against India, Bangladesh cannot afford a poor performance with the bat. If they are restricted to a low total then they will lose. While they impressed with the ball against the UAE, they will not find a similarly weak batting line-up when they take on the favourites at the competition.

Nine defeats in their last 10 T20's against India shows the disparity between the two sides, and I back another loss for the underdogs.
