Crystal Palace vs Arsenal

Arsenal travel to Selhurst Park on the final weekend of the Premier League season with the stronger squad, more consistency and the Premier League trophy in their back-pocket.

The Gunners have the league’s best defensive record and continue to dominate possession and territory against most opponents. Mikel Arteta’s side remain the best away team in the league, winning 10 of their 18 and only losing three times. They also boast wins in their last two against Crystal Palace along with a four-game winning run in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace arrive for their final Premier League game of the season nine points clear of the relegation zone and with more than one eye fixed on their Conference League final against Rayo Vallecano next week.

Both sides have major European finals to come, while the Gunners won the Premier League title in midweek as Manchester City dropped points against Bournemouth. The form guide says Arsenal should win this one, but there may be something of a hangover in performance after winning the league. Despite this, I predict that the Gunners will edge to a one goal win.

Tottenham vs Everton

Tottenham have their Premier League status in their own hands heading into the final weekend of the season. With Spurs two points clear of West Ham in 18th and boasting a goal difference that is 12 better than the Hammers, a point will likely be enough to keep them alive even if West Ham win.

Their 2-1 loss to Chelsea in midweek saw a four-game unbeaten run brought to an end and kept the relegation fight alive. Anything other than a defeat will more than likely keep Spurs in the Premier League but, with two wins, six draws and 10 defeats at home, Tottenham's record does not instil much confidence.

Everton arrive as one of the best away teams in the Premier League after picking up 26 points on the road. Just six defeats have come alongside seven wins and five draws. While the Toffees have little to play for and are winless in their last six league games, they have drawn two of their last three including their last away game against Crystal Palace.

With Everton eyeing up a half-century of points this season, I am backing them to secure a draw that keeps the jeopardy in this match as Tottenham sweat on potentially conceding late and losing their Premier League status.

West Ham vs Leeds

It is now or never for West Ham, with the Hammers knowing it is win or bust this season. Sitting two points short of Tottenham and safety, West Ham will know that a win may not be enough to save them if Spurs avoid defeat.

Despite this, West Ham will go all out to secure all three points. At home, West Ham have disappointed, losing nine of their 18 matches while winning five times and drawing four games. However, in their last five at home they have won twice, drawn twice and lost once, with their defeat to Arsenal a contentious one.

Leeds may arrive for their final game of the season unbeaten in their last eight, but they may find it difficult to hit top gear with safety already secured. On the road, Leeds are one of the worst teams in the league. Seven defeats is only a handful more than the top sides, but they have only won twice, drawing nine times.

A lack of killer instinct on the road has cost them wins, and this will likely be the case in their final game. West Ham will be pushing to win every moment, and I predict that this will see Leeds slump to a loss on the final day as they make it consecutive league defeats at the London Stadium.

Verdict

I am backing Arsenal to back up winning the Premier League title by edging past Crystal Palace. I also back West Ham to keep the relegation fight alive until the final moments as they beat Leeds while Tottenham take a point from Everton.
