Bologna vs Inter Milan

Bologna come into their final match of the season needing a massive swing in goals to end in the European places for next term. Their 55 point haul and +3 goal difference means they need Atalanta (58 points and +15 goals) to lose and take a real hammering.

At home, Bologna have won six of their 18, with this tally coming alongside three draws and nine defeats. With 16 goals scored and 20 conceded, even if Bologna were to do the unlikely and beat Inter Milan, it is even less likely they will score the goals needed to leapfrog Atalanta in the table.

Inter Milan secured the title with time to spare this season, with the champions currently sitting 13 points clear of Napoli in second. 13 of their 27 victories this campaign have come on the road, while they have drawn twice and lost three away games in a strong run when travelling.

Across their last two meetings, both sides have scored, while Inter slumped to a 1-1 draw against Verona in their last match in a surprising turn of events. With this in mind, I predict that despite conceding again, Inter will end the season with a win.

Napoli vs Udinese

Napoli can secure second place in the league with anything other than a defeat in their final game of the season. Currently sat on 73 points, Napoli are three clear of both AC Milan and Roma. Defeat coupled with the pair winning their matches will see Napoli slide down the standings, which would be a hugely disappointing way to end a fairly good season.

At home, Napoli have won 12 of their 18 matches, while they have scored 32 goals and conceded 18 times. Their last game ended in a comfortable 3-0 win over Pisa and they will be looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to their opponents back in December. With both sides scoring in seven of their last eight meetings, I predict another entertaining game.

Udinese are battling for position in the Serie A standings after seeing the European spots move out of their reach. With 50 points coming from 14 wins, eight draws and 15 defeats, the side have been solid if unspectacular, and I predict they will slide to a 16th defeat of the season on the final day.

I am backing Inter and Napoli to bring the season to a close with wins despite failing to keep clean sheets.
