World Cup Best Bets - Group A - June 25

It's now or never for Czechia after failing to win either of their two opening matches at the 2026 World Cup. Their 2-1 loss to South Korea in their first game came despite Czechia going 1-0 up, while they once again let a lead slip as they had to share the points with South Africa in a 1-1 draw. If this match follows the trend of the opening games in Group A, then Czechia will take the lead before slipping to a defeat. Czechia have not looked great going forward at the tournament, and I predict they will have more issues in this one as they slump to a defeat that sees them eliminated from the World Cup. 

South Africa are on the cusp of a group stage elimination at the 2026 World Cup, with the side unable to pick up a single win as of yet. A 2-0 defeat to Mexico in their opening game was quickly followed by a 1-1 draw with Czechia. While they had to be resolute in their battle to take a point from Czechia by scoring late on, their clash with Mexico was one that saw them continually surrender possession as they gave Mexico a number of opportunities. South Africa can go through in second with a win coupled with Mexico beating Czechia, but I do not see South Africa getting their first win of the tournament with the side now winless in their last seven in all competitions (L3, D4)
