World Cup Best Bets - June 28

Panama are yet to pick up a single point from their opening two World Cup matches after a very disappointing run at the tournament. A pair of 1-0 defeats to Ghana and Croatia means they are unable to automatically go through from Group L. Worrying for Panama will be that their last clash with England ended in a heavy 6-1 defeat. While they have looked fairly solid defensively, they will be put under a lot of pressure by an English side looking to hit back from a 0-0 draw with Ghana in their last game. 

Colombia have impressed in their World Cup campaign, taking maximum points from their opening two matches. Their 3-1 win over Uzbekistan set them up to edge past a stubborn DR Congo outfit that came close to securing another draw. Important for Colombia is the fact they will top the group as long as they avoid defeat. With Portugal held 1-1 by Congo and then beating Uzbekistan 5-0, it is difficult to know which side we will see. All Colombia will worry about is their own performance though, with the nation knowing they can storm to a third consecutive win and add to their growing wave of momentum. 

Jordan have struggled to make a positive impact on the pitch at the World Cup with a 3-1 loss to Austria then followed by a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Algeria. Unable to make it out of the group with their final match to come, it is difficult to see the side taking anything from an opponent most will back to play them off the park.
