Bangladesh vs Australia 2nd T20 Preview & Tips

Bangladesh were not good enough with the bat in their opening T20 against Australia as they crumbled, scoring just 131 runs in 19 overs.

Australia were far better with bat and ball in the first T20 as they outplayed their opponents in the first of their three meetings in the shortest format.

Australia have won six of their last 10 T20's against Bangladesh with the latter winning the other four.

Bangladesh were nowhere near their best in the first T20 as they were skittled for 131 before seeing the touring side battle to a four-wicket win.

While there was no major collapse from Bangladesh, they did lose wickets regularly in a batting display that failed to showcase a solid performance. Ultimately, Bangladesh found it very difficult to score runs consistently, while their wicket-taking options were not given enough runs to defend.

The second T20 will be one they feel they can return to winning ways in, but they came up against an Aussie outfit that refused to completely crumble in the same way they did across the ODI series. If Bangladesh see their batting lineup chipped away at in the same way as they did in the first T20, then they will lose this match.

Australia Form

Australia were far closer to the side we expected to see across their tour against Bangladesh as they bounced back from their 2-1 loss across the ODI series with a solid win in their first T20.

Batting second, the Aussies managed to deal with any issues they had when it came to chasing down a score of 132 to win. Cooper Connolly continued his excellent run of scoring as he notched 47 from 27, with this including four boundaries and three maximums.

This all came on the back of the Aussies bowling Bangladesh out, something they failed to do across their three-match ODI series. With Australia looking to ride the wave of momentum they have created, I am backing the touring side to secure the win as they go 2-0 up in the series.

I am backing Connolly to continue to impress with the bat as Australia make it consecutive T20 wins over Bangladesh.
