Rajasthan Royals and KKR, two teams that started their IPL 2025 campaigns with a loss in their opening match, will move to the north east part of the country for their second match in Guwahati.

Rajasthan were beaten by Sunrisers Hyderabad in a high-scoring thriller in the first match. Even though Rajasthan conceded a massive 287, the Royals fought with 242 for 6 in the chase, led by fifties from Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel.

KKR started the IPL well with a rapid stand between Ajinkya Rahane and Sunil Narine but fell away quickly against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Eventually, RCB cruised to a 7-wicket win in the opener.

Rajasthan’s bowlers were pummelled but Tushar Deshpande’s 3 for 44 brought some hope. Sanju Samson scored a quickfire 66 off 37 balls, with seven fours and four sixes while Jurel produced 70 off just 35 balls with five fours and six sixes.

Even Shimron Hetmyer found form with 42 off just 23 balls with one four and four sixes. Shubham Dubey showed a glimpse of what he can do with 34 off 11 balls with four sixes.

Riyan Parag will continue to lead the team while Samson plays purely as a batter.

Kolkata Knight Riders Form

KKR were led well by Ajinkya Rahane, who scored 56 off 31 balls with six fours and four sixes. Narine managed 44 off 26 balls as KKR walloped their way to a sprightly start.

However, their middle order fell away quickly as they could only limp to 174 for 8. Narine, Varun Chakravarthy and Vaibhav Arora picked up one wicket each but there was not much else from the rest of the bowlers.
