Ferencvaros vs Vojvodina
Ferencvaros secured a 2-1 win over their opponents in the first-leg but it was not a performance without issues. The travelling side took the lead in the eighth minute before Vojvodina equalised via an own goal. Ferencvaros seemed as though they were heading for a frustrating draw before they struck in the 86th minute to ensure they returned home with the lead. They currently arrive on an eight-game unbeaten run that features seven wins. Their last four home matches in all competitions have seen them won to nil, and I back them to keep the travelling side scoreless.
Vojvodina knew they needed a big performance to keep themselves in this tie and they seemed to be on the cusp of heading to face their opponents with the scores level until a late goal saw them go 2-1 down. While they are still in the tie, the odds are against them. The home side are big favourites while the travelling side have lost three of their last seven in all competitions in a frustrating run of form.
Vestri vs Qarabag
Vestri could get nowhere near Qarabag on the scoreboard in the first-leg as they were beaten 3-0 on their own patch. This defeat has made up part of a four-game winless run for the side across competitions. A pair of draws have come alongside two defeats, while their last home game saw them hammered 5-2 by Fylkir. Things are not going well for Vestri right now, and I merely predict another tough evening for the side as they are beaten by the stronger team.
Qarabag were excellent in the first-leg of their clash with Vestri as they tightened their grip on a place in the second round of the qualification process. This was a welcomed return to winning ways after a pair of friendly defeats. Perhaps more important is their six-game unbeaten run in competitive matches. Across their last four competitive games they have won each time and seen over 2.5 goals. I predict a similar outcome in this one as Qarabag move into the second round of the qualifying process.
Verdict
I am backing Ferencvaros to secure a win to nil as Qarabag secure their place in the next round with a win in a game that sees goals.
