Bangladesh vs Australia 1st T20 Preview & Tips - Bangladesh backed to hand Australia yet another defeat

Australia have been nowhere near good enough on their tour of Bangladesh, with the touring party barely scraping to victory in the third and final ODI. 

Now, attention switches to the shortest format. Bangladesh have impressed across their last four, beating Ireland twice and New Zealand once. The focus will now be on extending a solid run in the T20 game whilst also building on a stunning ODI series win over Australia. 

The Aussies have been on a torrid run across their last 10 in all formats, losing six times. In the T20 game, they have been beaten in seven of their last 10, only beating India, Ireland and Oman in an incredibly poor run. 

Like in the ODI series, now feels like the perfect time for Bangladesh to notch another win. Playing in their own conditions, I expect them to star in a low-scoring game. Putting the Aussie batting unit under pressure by taking early wickets is key, with the touring side's middle-order one the home side will look to target. 

In the T20 game, the Aussies have slumped to seven defeats in their last nine, with just two wins coming alongside these defeats. Worrying is the quality of opponents they have beaten, with Australia only good enough to beat Ireland and Oman. 

They would have hoped their ODI series with Bangladesh might have given them a boost, but they were soundly beaten by their hosts. While they did secure a win in the third and final ODI, they almost allowed victory to slip through their fingers as they trundled to a one-wicket win. Ultimately, Australia's tour of Bangladesh has seen a weak imitation of the Aussies touring, and they have looked entirely beatable.
