Bangladesh vs UAE Women T20 Preview & Tips - Bangladesh tipped for crucial Women's Asia Cup win

UAE Women notched a vital six-wicket win over Indonesia in their last game as they kept their hopes of playing in the knockout stages of the Asia Cup alive. 

In their last outing against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh's score of 114/8 always looked about 15 runs short of truly competitive against a good Sri Lankan outfit. A top score of 34 from Sobhana Mostary came from 41 deliveries as the nation struggled to really accelerate. With four wickets left to spare, Sri Lanka were able to secure the win with four deliveries left. 

While Bangladesh are the big favourites to win this one, they can take little for granted. The UAE looked good in their win over Indonesia as they skittled their opponents for just 73. This means Bangladesh cannot be complacent as they look to get a second win in three games. 

While I back Bangladesh to secure a crucial triumph, I predict that this match will be tighter than the pre-match odds suggest. 

In their opener against Sri Lanka, the UAE were nowhere near good enough. Their score of 79 all out saw the side trundle to a disappointing score as they were blown away in a nine-wicket loss. While most saw their defeat coming, the margin of defeat was one that will have hugely frustrated the side. 

Their second game saw the UAE bounce back in style. They skittled Indonesia for just 73 before securing a comfortable six-wicket win. Now, all of the focus will be on turning one win into two as the UAE aim for a shot at the Asia Cup semi-finals. 

While what is essentially a knockout match will see most of the pressure fall at the feet of Bangladesh, I back the UAE's superior opponents to show why they are the favourites heading into this one.
