San Marino vs Bangladesh Preview & Tips
San Marino’s last outing ended in a 0-0 draw with Andorra as they put an end to a 12-game losing run.
Bangladesh were beaten 1-0 by Singapore in their last match as the slumped to consecutive defeats.
- Bangladesh have drawn three of their last seven (L3, W1)
Head To Head
This will be the first time the two countries have met in a football match.
San Marino Form
San Marino have failed to win a single match since their 3-1 victory over Liechtenstein in their UEFA Nations League clash back in November 2024.
Since then, San Marino have played 13 matches, losing 12 games and drawing once. On a positive note, their last match ended in a battling 0-0 draw with Andorra in March. While this did not end their winless run, it has at least given them a chance to build on from a positive result.
San Marino have rarely been a threat going forward or defensively solid at the back. Indeed, their 10-0 loss to Austria in October 2025 and 7-1 defeat at the hands of Romania the following November shows they have been awful at both ends.
The major hope for San Marino will be that Bangladesh have also struggled for form. This will likely see the two sides play out a draw, with neither able to really take advantage of the poor form of the other.
Bangladesh Form
Bangladesh have not been quite as bad as San Marino, but this does not see them arrive on a particularly impressive run of form.
Indeed, their last two matches have ended in defeats to Vietnam (3-0) and Singapore (1-0), with the side failing to score across either game. Heading off to play a San Marino side that is woeful at the back will give Bangladesh ample opportunity to score, but keeping the ball out of their own net will be a major worry.
While I predict that Bangladesh will find a way to breach San Marino’s defence, I do not see them keeping a clean sheet. Bangladesh have kept one clean sheet across their last six matches, and I predict failing to keep a clean sheet will see them miss out on the chance to secure a win as the pair share in a fighting draw.
Verdict
I am backing the out of form duo to draw their friendly as both sides find the back of the net.
