Alexander Zverev is looking to build on his stunning US Open triumph as he beat Ben Shelton earlier in the month to claim his second Slam of the year.

Cameron Norrie slumped to a frustrating loss in four sets in his last outing as he was knocked out of the US Open in the first round.

Alexander Zverev has enjoyed a stellar year when it comes to winning major tournaments after securing the silverware at both the French Open and US Open.

An appearance in the final of Wimbledon and a run to the semi-final at the Australian Open shows Zverev has been in form when it matters most, although injuries to both Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have made things easier for Zverev.

Nine wins across his last 10 matches shows Zverev is in great form right now, while he has won 56 of his 70 matches this season. Looking to extend a run of eight successive wins over Norrie, I am backing Zverev to ease to a simple 2-0 win.

Cameron Norrie has been enduring a difficult season after winning just 21 of his 40 matches in 2026.

His last outing at a major competition saw Norrie immediately knocked out of the US Open. His 6-7 6-2 6-2 6-3 loss to Luca Van Assche made it consecutive defeats in all competitions after Norrie had lost 2-1 to Zverev at the Cincinnati Open in mid-August.

While Norrie will hope to salvage something from a rough season, I predict that he will slump to another loss when he takes on Zverev in this one. Norrie has lost to Zverev in their two meetings this year, while he has lost the last six hard court matches they have played, and I predict that this run will be extended this week.
