Sunrisers Leeds vs Manchester Super Giants Preview & Tips

Sunrisers Leeds edged to a thrilling five-run victory in their last match as they secured their first win of The Hundred in 2026 by beating Southern Brave.

Manchester Super Giants have really impressed so far, cruising to two big wins and the top of the standings.

  • Manchester have won their last two against their opponents
  • Super Giants are yet to lose this season (P2, W2)

Head To Head

In the nine previous meetings between the sides, the Super Giants have won five times with Sunrisers winning four matches.

Sunrisers Leeds Form

Sunrisers Leeds bounced back well from their seven-wicket loss in their opener by handing Southern Brave a five-run loss in their second match.

Against the Brave, Sunrisers battled to a competitive score of 187/5 as Mitchell Marsh (69 from 34) and Dan Lawrence (51 not out from 25) starred with the bat. When in the field, Sunrisers did a good job of keeping the Brave honest as only Tristan Stubbs could score beyond the 200.00 mark. Ultimately, this became a test of which side could stifle the run-scoring opportunities best, and Sunrisers came out on top.

While Sunrisers did secure the win in their last match, can they contain a Super Giants outfit that has looked very good so far? They have also slumped to defeats in five of their last seven against their opponents, and I predict the Sunrisers will slip to a second loss in three outings.

Manchester Super Giants From

Manchester Super Giants were outstanding in their last outing as they hammered the Birmingham Phoenix in a statement 87-run win.

Despite seeing Aiden Markram and Tim Seifert fall for single-figure scores, Jos Buttler was able to smash them to a good score as he made 90 from 50. His score included seven boundaries and five maximums as he went about dismantling the bowling unit of the opposition side.

Not just content with posting a good score with the bat, the Super Giants were able to lean on an impressive bowling attack that boasts Liam Dawson, Gus Atkinson and Josh Tongue. The Super Giants look like one of the most well-balanced sides in the tournament this year, and I predict that their ability to score runs and take wickets will ensure they extend their winning start.

Verdict

I am backing the Super Giants to make it three consecutive wins in The Hundred in 2026 as they defeat the Sunrisers.
