Sri Lanka vs Pakistan Women 3rd T20 Preview & Tips

Sri Lanka Women once again proved too good for Pakistan in the shortest format as they easily chased down a target of 176 to secure a 2-0 series lead.

Pakistan Women would have been fairly confident in the second t20 after battling to a competitive score of 175/5, but a lack of bite from their bowlers saw the touring side slump to another defeat.

Sri Lanka Women have hit a very impressive run of form that has culminated in four successive T20 victories and 12 wins across their last 15 in the shortest format.

Pakistan arrived with hopes of shocking the home team, but Sri Lanka have left little to chance across the series. Their opening two matches have seen the home team star with bat, ball and in the field. Ultimately, Sri Lanka have been by far and away the better side, although Pakistan have done little to help themselves.

The second T20 saw Pakistan notch what looked like a competitive score as they closed on 175/5. However, Sri Lanka were not to be denied consecutive T20 wins over their opponents as they eased to a six-wicket win. In truth, the home side never looked in trouble as they cruised to the victory without really breaking a sweat.

While securing a series win can often see a side lose that killer instinct, I back a Sri Lankan side that have been far better than the touring party to secure a deserved 3-0 win.

Pakistan Women Form

Pakistan Women are not enjoying their time in the T20 game right now, with two successive defeats in this series adding to a woeful record that now stands at 10 defeats in their last 11 in the shortest format.

Despite making their way to 90 without loss after 9.4 overs, Pakistan once again stuttered with the bat in the middle-phases. To go at 85/5 in the remaining 10.2 overs after laying a solid foundation in the first 10 shows this Pakistan side have a real problem with accelerating, which is what ultimately cost them.

A lack of regular wickets when in the field also played a part in their loss, with the touring side struggling across the park. Despite having the chance to avoid a 3-0 humiliation, I am backing against Pakistan coming away with any credit in the bank after yet another defeat.

I am backing Sri Lanka to secure a 3-0 T20 series win over Pakistan as they show they are a level above the touring side.
